13 STEPS YOU CAN TAKE TO PREVENT CANCER

Written by Dr. Ben Kim
The purpose of this article is to outline 13 ways that you can decrease your risk of developing any type of cancer. The following 13 ways to prevent cancer are presented in no particular order:

1. If you are going to be sexually active, be in a mutually monogamous relationship with a partner who is not infected by human papilloma virus (HPV)
Genital HPV infection is a sexually transmitted disease that is caused by the human papilloma virus. There are actually more than 100 strains of the human papilloma virus, some of which can lead to cancer of the cervix, vagina, vulva, anus, or penis.
If you are sexually active and are not in a mutually monogamous relationship, I recommend that you learn more about HPV through various online resources. A clear and simple outline on HPV can be found at the Centers For Disease Control And Prevention website.
I encourage women who belong in this category to have a Pap test on an annual basis. I believe that Pap tests can be extremely useful for sexually active women who have had multiple partners or a partner who has had multiple partners because surgical excision of pre-cancerous and cancerous cells of the cervix is one of the safest and most effective procedures performed by the medical profession. I have worked with dozens of women over the years who have benefited from this procedure.

2. Eat lots of plant foods, mainly organic vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and fruits
Plant foods provide an abundance of antioxidants and fiber, both of which are known to reduce the risk of developing several different types of cancer.
Vegetables and fruits reduce the risk of developing cancers of the lung, stomach, esophagus, and larynx, while legumes and grains may help to reduce the risk of developing cancers of the stomach and pancreas.
There are five major groups of cancer-fighting compounds in fruits and vegetables: isothiocyanates, indols, cumines, phenols, and flavones.....

WHAT TO DO DURING RAMADAN WHILE IN THE MIDDLE EAST (BY NON-MUSLIMS)

Ramadan is a Muslim holiday that is observed in the ninth lunar month each year and last about 30 days. The time is used for reflection, cleansing of the body and soul and surrendering to God and Islam. Muslim's all over the world use this time to renew their family ties and to abstain from the pleasure of food, drink and physical desires. If traveling to a Middle Eastern country a non-Muslim can get in trouble and even thrown into jail for unknowingly disregarding the laws of Ramadan while in the Middle East.

Step 1 Drink inside only. If you are caught outside drinking (including in your car) during Ramadan you may be arrested. In some countries that are more Western, like Dubai there will be some restaurants open who keep the doors shut; others such as in Kuwait will all stay closed throughout the day until dusk.

Step 2 Eat inside only as instructed above. If you are staying in a hotel during Ramadan most will allow you to eat within the hotel. If you are not staying in a hotel as a guest in most countries you cannot go there to eat....

BREAK THE SPENDING HABIT

SEXUAL HARASSMENT AT WORK

HOW TO STOP SEXUAL HARASSMENT AT WORK
Few things are more annoying than employees who put their creepy crawlies on co-workers. But when this touching gets into the realm of general discomfort and, even worst, sexual harassment, staffers are encouraged to take matters into their own hand. Although some women cross the line, popular sentiment suggests men are the main culprits. A lady's body is not a toy. However, female employees should have also established from the start the rules of engagement - by stating clearly what is acceptable behavior and speaking out when persons overstep boundaries. If the lines are blurred from the beginning, it becomes difficult later to change the rules of the game. Anyone touching you should do so with your consent. Once you allow anyone to touch, it can reach a stage where you loses value or so it would appear.
Step 1 Women should conduct themselves professionally at all times.
Step 2 Treat persons with respect and they will return it to you. If respect is shown, they won't make certain advances.
Step 3 Avoid having sexual conversation with men in the workplace....

YOU and The LAW (KSA / QATAR / UAE)

~ Questions answered by Advocate Muhammad Jaber Nader, based in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
I came to work as a janitor seven years ago. I sweep the floor, wash the dishes and do all errands that an office servant would do. The company treats me as a house servant. They do give me neither vacation time nor overtime, among other denials of my rights.
The job category "house servant" requires you to work within a family in a private residence. "House servants" work under different rules. Working in an office puts you under the category of "office janitor," not "house servant". You are right to say your employer is illegally denying your rights under the labor law as a janitor at a company.
The labor law says about....
